New Canon Monochrome imageCLASS Models Incorporate Handy Features For SOHO

Developed to help increase productivity for home and small office customers, Canon U.S.A. today announced the expansion of the award-winning imageCLASS lineup with the addition of three multifunction printers (imageCLASS MF4890dw, imageCLASS MF4880dw, imageCLASS MF4770n), the imageCLASS D530 copier and FAXPHONE L190. The five new additions provide multiple capabilities in a compact design and the MF4890dw and MF4880dw are wireless enabled, allowing end users to print from virtually anywhere in their home or small office.

New imageCLASS MF4000 Series

Built on a foundation that includes high-quality imaging technology, the new imageCLASS MF4000 laser multifunction printers allow users to maximize productivity with convenient print, copy, fax and scan functionality in a fully networkable device. To maximize efficiency, each model incorporates the Quiet Mode option, reducing operation noise for home users who want to have quiet printing, copying and faxing at night time, as well as office users who do not wish to disturb their colleagues. Beyond the basic features of the MF4000 series, each model incorporates a control panel with two-step tilt to improve usability, providing users with the ability to see the panel from different angles.

imageCLASS D530 Copier

Specifically designed for small business and home office placements, the imageCLASS D530 utilizes a simple, easy to navigate control panel to provide end users advanced functionality including duplex print, copy and print speeds up to 26 pages per minute (ppm) in letter sized output, 250-sheet front loading paper cassette and a quick first print time of approximately nine seconds. For eco-conscious solutions the D530 has an efficient energy saving mode utilizing less than two watts of energy, and 2 on 1 and 4 on 1 copy options.

Faxphone L190

Targeting small businesses, such as insurance companies and restaurants, the FAXPHONE L190 is a speedy and compact laser fax that delivers quick results whether faxing, printing or copying with the added convenience of a telephone handset. With exceptional fax capabilities and a 26 ppm laser printer, this space-saving business machine functions in the place of three devices featuring the performance quality of laser output. The FAXPHONE L190 incorporates a 50-sheet DADF, Super G3 facsimile technology and more than 500 sheets of memory capacity. Rich with features, including Fax Forwarding, Error Correction and remote reception, users can manage their fax operations efficiently. Directory search allows users to look up and dial the correct number by easily viewing up to 40 one-touch stored phone numbers in the speed dials, and 200 coded dials for a comprehensive address book.

To deliver high-quality prints and copies, each model incorporates the Canon Single Cartridge System, which combines the toner, drum and development unit in one easy-to-replace cartridge, resulting in excellent image quality retention and eliminating the complication and warehousing of separate toner and drum consumables.

The new imageCLASS models meet the ENERGY STAR guidelines set by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and Department of Energy (DOE) and exceed the European Union RoHS Directive standards.

The Canon imageCLASS MF4890dw/MF4880dw/MF4770n models are expected to be available starting in late August through retailers, resellers and the Company's e-commerce store, Canon Direct, at minimum advertised prices (MAP) of $299; $249 and $199, respectively. The Canon imageCLASS D530 is expected to be available starting in late August through retailers, resellers and Canon Direct at a minimum advertised price (MAP) of $199.
