Sharp MX-4140N
“These new mid-volume workgroup models are designed around today’s busy office environments, offering powerful multitasking features, off-premises cloud support, mobile device access and more,” said Mike Marusic, Senior Vice President, Marketing and Business Solutions Group, Sharp Imaging and Information Company of America. “Tablet-style menu navigation, combined with a built-in retractable keyboard and Internet browsing ability, enables these MFPs to be both high functioning and an added value. The standard Compact PDF feature on the MX-4141N and MX-5141N models is able to reduce the scanned file size of color documents by as much as 75 percent, resulting in decreased network traffic and more efficient use of disk and cloud storage.”
The MX-4140N, MX-4141N, MX-5140N and MX-5141N models support the Sharp OSA 4.1 development platform, offering powerful document workflow capabilities to help businesses leverage their network infrastructure, as well as off-premises cloud services. All four models include Sharp OSA modules for application communication and external accountingapplications. The standard End-of-Lease feature can overwrite all document and user data, which helps protect business and personal information at time of trade in.
These new models also feature Sharp’s 2nd generation high-resolution, touch-screen display, offering easy-to-use tablet-style menu navigation and multi-touch pinch & zoom image preview. The available built-in Web browser (standard on the MX-5141N) provides access to web pages for walk-up access to Internet resources.
Sharp MFPs feature the Sharp OSA development platform, which seamlessly integrates network applications to create a personalized MFP that can meet virtually any business need, and Scan2 technology, which scans two-sided documents in a single pass, to enhance scanning reliability and help preserve document integrity.
Convenience And Productivity Features
Sharp’s built-in wireless networking, in conjunction with the free Sharpdesk Mobile app, offers convenient printing and scanning for guest users, without having to access the company’s corporate network. The MFP’s “Point-to-Point” mode establishes a direct wireless connection to mobile devices, which is isolated from the wired LAN. The new models also support an Infrastructure mode for wireless communication on a customer’s wireless network.
The MX-4140N, MX-4141N, MX-5140N and MX-5141N offer a new 2,000-sheet tandem paper drawer enabling a total on-line paper capacity of up to 6,600 sheets for enhanced productivity. A new long paper feeding tray option can feed banner paper up to 48″ long. Expanded media capability supports paper weights up to 110 lb. cover stock (300 gsm), giving businesses added flexibility for producing professional documents.
The MX-4140N, MX-4141N, MX-5140N and MX-5141N also offer a choice of high-performance finishers that provide a professional look and feel. Businesses can choose from a 500-sheet compact inner finisher or a 1000-sheet floor standing finisher to a 4000-sheet saddle stitch finisher, all offering three-position stapling and available three-hole punch.
